inspiration for our times ~ Steady and Strong

Ponder this:  "The Harvard Business Review in the article “The Making of an Expert,” July 2007, explained that outstanding performance in fields such as athletics and music required three things:
Time, or 10,000 hours as we’ve been discussing.
A mentor such as a coach or teacher.
And what they labeled as “enthusiastic support from home.”
I think all three of these elements apply in building testimony."

Inspiration for our times ~ Be Still ~

Today we celebrate the Christian "Palm Sunday" and the Jewish "Feast of the Passover."  What better way to celebrate than to "be still" and listen to the words of Christ and music of Him. Our God has placed us here on this earth to learn of Him, become like Him, and to treat ALL people as He would treat them with love, mercy and compassion. There is noise and confusion in the world but as we focus on the Savior Jesus Christ today and every day we will be filled with JOY. So, shhhhhhh, Be Still and listen.

Inspiration for our times ~ Self-help ~

"...Look outside your current struggles and difficulties. Tell yourself that you are not too busy to help someone. Find someone to help, even if it is a small effort or act of kindness. In exchange, you have been promised that you will be lifted and not just a little bit, but you will be brought from darkness to be in the light of the noonday."

inspiration for our times ~ Sixteen Stones ~

The story of the Brother of Jared is often used to illustrate faith, but it is also a story about the lessons it can teach us about how to find hope in the Lord. God was with the Brother of Jared every step of the way in getting him and his people to the promised land. And God will be with us every step of the way to show us where to go and what to do to become the person He wants us to be.

Inspiration for our times ~ Believe Christ ~

Over 30 years ago I listened to this talk and then bought the book. It's practical message is still timely. As the world grows darker and the worldly messages bombard us from every direction we needed to resist all that is evil. At times we may fall prey to voices calling to us that all is well, a little sin, a little lie, a little unkindness won't hurt us. But that is not true! That is the time we can and we must call upon Christ to help us, to strengthen us, and forgive us. The blog today is for any of you that need reminding of the great truth of the Atonement of Jesus Christ who loves us. Have a good week.

Inspiration for our times ~ Centered ~

"It is the skills that we develop in using our spiritual mode of perceiving that compensate for our mortal limitations and gaps."

ðŸ’–May we all be centered in Christ and learn to Hear Him as our Prophet, Russell M. Nelson, asks us. Perhaps you can study all the names for Christ  and become a "new person" and become more like Him. Have a wonderful week my friends, I love you!💓
