Today we celebrate the Christian "Palm Sunday" and the Jewish "Feast of the Passover." What better way to celebrate than to "be still" and listen to the words of Christ and music of Him. Our God has placed us here on this earth to learn of Him, become like Him, and to treat ALL people as He would treat them with love, mercy and compassion. There is noise and confusion in the world but as we focus on the Savior Jesus Christ today and every day we will be filled with JOY. So, shhhhhhh, Be Still and listen.
"...Look outside your current struggles and difficulties. Tell yourself that you are not too busy to help someone. Find someone to help, even if it is a small effort or act of kindness. In exchange, you have been promised that you will be lifted and not just a little bit, but you will be brought from darkness to be in the light of the noonday."
The story of the Brother of Jared is often used to illustrate faith, but it is also a story about the lessons it can teach us about how to find hope in the Lord. God was with the Brother of Jared every step of the way in getting him and his people to the promised land. And God will be with us every step of the way to show us where to go and what to do to become the person He wants us to be.
